Context
Olivia Silveira and I were invited, representing Projeto Fio, to develop and teach a botanical embroidery course for Domestika’s global platform.
Approach
The course translated the embroidery techniques and teaching methodology we use within Projeto Fio into an accessible digital format.
Beyond stitches, we explored botanical illustration references, composition, upcycling practices and the development of embroidery as narrative surface — connecting technical learning with creative authorship.
I co-developed the course structure, creative direction and educational framework, adapting our collective methodology to a scalable online environment.
The project extended Projeto Fio’s pedagogical approach to an international audience, maintaining its emphasis on process, experimentation and cultural references.
