Context
Manu approached Projeto Fio with the desire to create a long embroidered cape for her entrance at the wedding ceremony — a symbolic garment that would narrate her relationship with André.
The piece was envisioned as both ceremonial attire and personal archive.
Approach
Through attentive conversations, we identified key memories, symbols and shared experiences that defined the couple’s journey. These elements were organized into a narrative structure and translated into a visual composition for embroidery.
The cape was developed in waxed metallic thread on tulle, balancing delicacy and presence — allowing the narrative to unfold through texture, light and movement.
My Role
I led the narrative development and creative direction of the piece, shaping the symbolic elements into a cohesive visual language.
The embroidery was developed within Projeto Fio’s production structure, integrating collective craftsmanship with precise material experimentation.
