Context
Paula approached us with a deeply personal archive of memories — family stories, music references, landscapes and symbolic elements that shaped her relationship with Breno.
The challenge was to translate this layered emotional universe into a cohesive embroidered veil for her wedding day.
Approach
The process began with attentive and sensitive listening sessions, where stories, images and affections were shared and unpacked. This stage was essential to identify symbolic threads capable of visually representing the couple’s history.
From this material, I structured a narrative map — curating recurring motifs, musical references, family elements and natural imagery — and translating them into a coherent visual composition for embroidery.
The veil became a wearable storytelling piece, where embroidery functioned as both memory archive and ceremonial object.
My Role
I led the narrative structuring and creative direction of the project, synthesizing diverse references into a unified visual language.
The embroidery was executed by Susana, embroiderer and embroidery coordinator at Projeto Fio, whose technical expertise ensured precision and material sensitivity in the final piece.
The project combined narrative direction, collective craftsmanship and symbolic design into a single ceremonial artifact.
